Stephen Murphy

This is me with Lee Rider who I met twice on route in a pub near Bristol after about 16 days of my 20 day JOGLE run.

He's the greatest UK endurance cyclist going.

As for advice - Firstly, despite all the training your body will go into shock.

I sweated at night for the first week or so.

The first 8 or so days is particularly hard because you do not want to walk when you should.

Injuries will usually heal themselves.

Make sure you get into a run / walk / eat routine - I stopped to drink and have something to eat every hour.

Eat whenever you fancy but have a good breakfast.

Be careful on the roads and wear something bright.

Always run towards the traffic.

The police may warn you about running on hard shoulders but it is not illegal.

Look after your feet and fix blisters as best as you can.

Finally, enjoy because it is a fantastic experience.
