Welcome to The Long Way Down

The idea is simple: a self-supported run from John o'Groats to Land's End (JOGLE) following national trails where possible and taking in some of Britain's most beautiful scenery.

The route will take in the West Highland Way, Pennine Way, Offa's Dyke and the South West Coat Path for a total distance of 1200 miles planned over 30 days and is based on "The End to End Trail" by Andy Robinson.

I initially thought of doing this solo, but having had a lot of interest from friends & other distance runners I thought it might be more fun and a lot more sociable to run this as a long, long Social Ultra.

Keep checking the site as I'll be putting up the route, kit, Q&A, etc as I put the plan together. If you're interested in running, you can contact me by email, or on Facebook or Twitter
